GLOBAL SECRETARIAT
Schools2030’s Global Secretariat provides leadership on all aspects of programme design and management, including leading global workstreams on holistic assessment, human-centred design (HCD), research and communications as well as finance and grant management. The Secretariat is based out of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) UK office, but with staff members in the Geneva and US offices as well. We are proud to work together as a diverse but cohesive team with a shared passion for transformative educational change. Sarah leads on the development and implementation of the global communications strategy and oversees its alignment across country-level communications. She is also responsible for communication activities at the global level, including social media and website management, event organisation and content creation, as well as supporting the country teams with their communications work.

Ama leads grant and relationship management for the Schools2030 programme. She establishes and builds effective partnerships with donors while supporting the ten country teams and multiple global teams with grant proposals and reporting for Schools2030.
Previously, Ama worked with the think tank America Achieves, conducting equity-oriented workforce development policy research, and with the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM). Ama received her Masters in International Education Policy from Harvard University. She is a published education researcher, and a passionate advocate for improving education outcomes, globally.

Amy supports Schools2030 country level communications as well as helping to implement the global communications strategy. She works closely with the Secretariat and partners to facilitate the development and dissemination of success stories and evidence from across our global community. She also helps to increase Schools2030 visibility through social media, content creation, email communication and website administration.
Originally from Scotland, Amy holds a MA in International Relations and Politics from the University of Dundee. In the past Amy volunteered for Scholars at Risk, an NGO working to defend principles of academic freedoms for scholars as well as the Scottish Malawi Partnership, contributing to development in local communities in Malawi, Africa. With three years experience in Communications, she worked previously as Communications Officer for the European Liberal Forum, a Brussels-based think-tank.
Morwared Sherzad

Morwared leads grant and relationship management for the Schools2030 programme. She establishes and builds effective partnerships with donors while supporting the ten country teams and multiple global teams with grant proposals and reporting for Schools2030.
Morwared has worked in a range of roles with Schools2030, previously leading programme implementation in Afghanistan as the National Coordinator. She has also worked with the Secretariat team as the Schools2030 Global Forum Coordinator. Morwared holds a Masters in Human Rights Law and Practice from the University of York and a Bachelor of Law from the Savitribai Phule Pune University in India.
