Driving Quality Through Equity

Time

2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Exploring positive deviant school practices, and holistic, participatory approaches to teaching and learning

Schools2030 Research Webinar

Schools2030 are delighted to host a webinar bringing together Schools2030 Global Research Partners who have recently concluded research in Brazil, Pakistan, Uganda and Tanzania.

Research teams who joined us as part of the second cohort of Schools2030 researchers will share findings from their projects which explored the connection between action research, holistic skills and equity in education, and how we might therefore promote equitable approaches through Schools2030.

We will also benefit from insights from the UNICEF Innocenti team, part of our first research cohort, who recently concluded their Data Must Speak research in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. This research has identified examples of positive deviant school practices that are driving improved outcomes, as well as provided recommendations for scaling these approaches to other schools.

The webinar will feature speakers from the following research projects and teams:

  • ‘Data Must Speak’ about Positive Deviant Approaches to Learning in Tanzania, UNICEF Innocenti

There will be an opportunity to hear from all research teams, and participants will also get to choose breakout rooms to engage more deeply on the findings. We look forward to this learning opportunity and welcome participants to actively engage in discussion on the findings and implications for Schools2030 and the wider sector.
